Never on streaming

Don't re-upload or release the music on Spotify, Apple Music or any streaming service, and don't release remixes, samples or covers of it there. Purrple Cat Self Releases have no Content ID, so a claim on one is a false claim.

Is the rain a recording?
No. Every ambience sound on lofi.bar (rain, room tone, city traffic and the fire) is generated live in your browser with the Web Audio API. There are no recordings or samples, so nothing here belongs to anyone else, and the loops never sound exactly the same twice.
What kind of music is on the decks?
Purrple Cat: dreamy chillwave and ambient downtempo lofi, with soft piano, wide pads and deep, slow grooves. The house radio plays eight tracks from Purrple Cat's own releases, and the menu and back bar pour whole albums through Spotify's official player.
Can I use the music in my videos or streams?
Yes. Purrple Cat's music is free to use on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram and every other social platform under CC BY 4.0, as long as you credit it. Use this line: “Music: Purrple Cat (purrplecat.com), licensed under CC BY 4.0”.
Can I upload it to Spotify or other streaming services?
No. Please never re-upload or release the music on streaming services, and don't release remixes, samples or covers of it there either. That's what causes false copyright claims for everyone else.

Purrple Cat Self Releases are not registered in Content ID, so there shouldn't be one. If a claim ever appears on one, it's a false claim: dispute it with the CC BY 4.0 licence and your credit line.
Does it cost anything?
No. lofi.bar is free, has no sign-up, no ads and no cookies. Your mixer levels and last track are remembered only in your own browser.
Can I fall asleep to it?
Yes. Pick “Last call” on the decks and the music and room fade out gently after 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes.
